Bill Hawley Bill Hawley is the Certified Prevention Specialist serving the wonderful residents and communities of Johnson County, Wyoming. As a former teacher, coach and principal, Bill has a life-long love of learning and teaching. Bill’s professional career began in 1986 at Martin Luther High School in Maspeth, Queens, New York where he taught social sciences and coached baseball and basketball. Bill served as an assistant principal, teacher and coach in suburban St. Louis and finally served as principal at Risen Christ School in Myrtle Beach, SC. Bill knows the value of intervention skills when working with and relating to people of all ages and demographics, especially those struggling with brain health issues and suicidal thoughts. Bill is one of two Master Trainers for Livingworks ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) in Wyoming and has facilitated 48 workshops throughout the state in the past decade. https://www.livingworks.net/ Bill is the founding chairperson of the Wyoming Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and continues to serve on the board as its education committee chairperson. https://afsp.org/ Bill served his community as a Buffalo City Councilor from 2010-2016.
