National Supervised Visitation Awareness Month

May is Supervised Visitation Awareness Month

Therapeutic Supervised Visitation

The term is often used to refer to parenting time that occurs with mental health professionals providing therapy/counseling during a supervised visit between the non-custodial parent and child. Therapeutic parenting time might be ordered in a case where there is a strained relationship between the parent and child or some other history between the parent and child that warrants some type of professional mental health assistance to make it safe.  Minnesota Fathers Organization
